Charlie Bonar joined Apex Health Innovation in June 2017. Charlie has more than 20 years of IT implementation and support experience in the Life Sciences. He has a passion for innovative technology and solutions that enable healthcare clients to bring new therapies to market.
Prior to Apex Health Innovations, Charlie was at Amgen, Thousand Oaks, managing the IT Shared Services Team for the Pre-Clinical and Research Departments. The team developed processes and documentation that significantly reduced the time to implement laboratory instruments and application projects in the GxP environment. He was a founding leader in creating the Amgen Global IT Bench-top Support Model that transformed laboratory instrument support and compliance. Before Amgen, Charlie worked at Bayer AG Biotechnology, Berkeley, California as a Quality Assurance Manager responsible for the regulatory compliance of manufacturing and laboratory computer systems.
Charlie has a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from West Liberty University, West Liberty, West Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Oregon, Eugene. He holds a certificate as an ITIL Practitioner. He enjoys teaching qigong and traveling about. Charlie resides in Thousand Oaks, California.
